Historical Facts

  • 'Left To My Own Devices' was produced by Trevor Horn, a very influential 80's producer who was also one half of The Buggles ('Video Killed The Radio Star')
  • 'Always On My Mind' was originally written and released in 1972 by Brenda Lee. Elvis Presley made it famous in 1973. In 1987, the Petties performed a version on a network television special commemorating the tenth anniversary of Presley's death. Their performance of "Always on My Mind" was so well-received that the group decided to record and release a version as a single. This version became the UK's Christmas Number 1 that year
  • Chris Lowe's vocal for Paninaro was sampled from a 1986 Entertainment Tonight interview
  • Ian McKellen, now better known as Gandalf or Magneto, played the vampire in the 'Heart' video
  • 'It's Alright' is a rerecording of the Chicago house classic by Sterling Void
  • Electronic comprised of Bernard Sumner from New Order on vocals, guitars and keyboards, and ex-Smiths guitar player Johnny Marr on guitars, bass and keyboards. Neil Tennant provided guest vocals on 'Getting Away With It', hence why I included it in this mix
